This includes offering opportunities across both clinical and non-clinical roles such as medical students, nursing apprentices, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
From aspiring students just embarking on their medical journey to experienced professionals seeking continuous development, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience.
Below are some of the educational offerings we have at the Trust:
Apprenticeships
Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service. To find out more about apprenticeships at DBTH check out our dedicated page.
Work Experience
Undertaking a work experience placement at the Trust is a fantastic way to gain insight into a particular career within the health service. Often people think of the NHS as nurses and doctors, however, there are many different roles which collectively ensure that a hospital runs well, offering the best possible care for patients. To find out more about work experience at DBTH check out our dedicated page.
T-Levels
T-Levels are two-year courses designed for students aged 16-19, typically pursued after completing GCSEs. T-levels are equivalent to three A-Level courses. T-Levels have been collaboratively developed with employers and education institutions to ensure that the curriculum aligns with industry needs and prepares students for entry into skilled employment, apprenticeships, or related technical studies in further or higher education.
Placements
In collaboration with our educational partners, we offer a range of placement opportunities at the Trust.
Knowledge and Library Services
The Knowledge & Library Service at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a multi-professional service to all its staff and students as well as providing some services to other NHS Trusts and organisations in the area. To find out more about the services our knowledge and library team offer check out our dedicated page.
Clinical Attachment Placements
DBTH offers Clinical Attachment placements in a variety of clinical areas. These placements are short-term (4 weeks) unpaid placements for international medical graduates (IMGs) who want to gain an insight into the NHS. This is an observer role only. To find out more, check out our dedicated page.
