Virtual tour of the modular theatre
Ever wondered what it’s like inside a hospital operating theatre? Now you can find out with our Virtual Educational Tour! This interactive tour takes you inside the modular theatres at the Women and Children’s Hospital at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
With this tour, you can explore the entire process of surgery, from start to finish. You’ll see where patients are given anaesthesia, where surgeries happen, and where they recover afterward. It’s like walking through the real thing, but from the comfort of your own home!
You’ll also meet actual members of our orthopaedic surgical team at DBTH, who have recreated a live surgery scenario just for this tour. It’s a unique chance to see what really happens in an operating room.
Virtual tour of the Modular Elective Orthopaedic Centre
This interactive experience takes you inside the new Modular Elective Orthopaedic Centre (MEOC) at Montagu Hospital. You’ll get to explore the entire MEOC, including the entrance, clinical areas, and wards. See where patients receive anaesthesia, where surgeries take place, and where they recover afterward. It’s like walking through the hospital, but from your own home!
The MEOC is a brand-new facility created through a partnership between Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and The Rotherham Hospital Foundation Trust. It’s a special place just for orthopaedic surgeries like hip and knee replacements, and surgeries for feet, ankles, hands, wrists, and shoulders.
