Working within the Cardio-Respiratory Department, you will be a valued member of our team of Cardiac Physiologists providing high quality diagnostic tests across the cardiac pathways. In addition to primarily working in echocardiography and/or pacemaker follow-up, there will be a requirement to rotate through general sections of the cardiology service including ambulatory ECG analysis, exercise stress testing. There is also the opportunity to develop or maintain skills in transoesophageal echo, tilt-testing, pacemaker implants and coronary angiography.
You will be enthusiastic, professional, compassionate and competent with a willingness to contribute ideas to provide the very best patient-centered care.
The department has a full student training commitment, and we are fully committed to continuing postgraduate development.A BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification is essential along with proven experience in a band 6 position. You will also have a relevant postgraduate professional qualification such as BSE/BHRS/IBHRE. However, a band 6 training post will be considered for those with less experience demonstrating the requisite level of interest, motivation and commitment.
You should be on the RCCP/AHCS register and hold Resuscitation Council (UK) ILS certification. Although based primarily at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, there will be occasional requirement to cover across our three sites.
Working hours will be subject to review as the service develops, therefore a flexible approach is essential.
