Organised by the Doncaster Chamber, the awards are Yorkshire’s largest business celebration, recognising the achievements and contributions of local organisations to the economy and community.
DBTH has been shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award, with Luke Staton representing the Trust, and the Charity of the Year Award, highlighting the work of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity. This follows the Trust’s success at last year’s ceremony, where it won Charity Campaign of the Year as part of efforts to successfully fundraise for a suite for bereaved parents, and was also recognised as Employer of the Year for its commitment to colleagues and workplace excellence.
With over 7,000 colleagues across three hospital sites, DBTH is one of the region’s largest healthcare providers, caring for more than half a million patients annually. The Trust is dedicated to supporting its workforce through health and wellbeing initiatives, professional development programmes, and improved communication, while also advancing patient care and services through its charity.
Richard Parker OBE, Chief Executive of DBTH, commented: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for these awards, which highlight the incredible contributions of our colleagues and the impact of our charity. We thank the Doncaster Chamber for this recognition and wish all finalists the best of luck.”
He added: “The Doncaster Business Awards is a fantastic platform to celebrate the achievements of local businesses and the talented individuals behind them. We’re proud to be part of this vibrant community.”
The Doncaster Business Awards 2024 takes place tonight, December 12, at Doncaster Racecourse. For the full shortlist, visit the Doncaster Chamber website.
