The event was an opportunity to hear about the work and achievements of the organisation in 2020/21, particularly in light of COVID-19, and is now available to all via YouTube: https://youtu.be/Mps3rZ04GkQ
Suzy Brain England OBE, Chair of the Board at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH), said: “Since we became a Foundation Trust, we have held a meeting every year for our members to attend and receive an update on the previous 12 months. Last year, due to the restrictions on large meetings and social distancing measures in place, our Annual Members’ Meeting had to take place virtually for the first time ever.
“Although we had to move to these arrangements out of necessity, the feedback we received suggested that it made the meeting much more accessible, while other members were able to watch it at their leisure and in keeping with their busy schedule – so we have done it gain this year.
“Even though we missed seeing our members in person, we are excited that more people than ever before can now attend the meeting from the comfort of their own home using video technology and we hope that this makes the event more convenient for you.
“Whilst the latter months of the year required the Trust to fundamentally change the way we provide care due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we must not forget that the past year has been full of promise and improvement for the Trust and so please take this opportunity to watch along and find out what we have achieved.
