Nominate your hospital star

Later this year we will recognise our DBTH hospital heroes as part of our annual Star Awards.

We are asking local people to nominate individuals and teams at our hospitals who have gone above and beyond in delivering, or supporting, care and treatment for either yourself, friends or family.

We are looking for nominations for the following categories:

Patient Champion: This award is for a member of DBTH who is caring and compassionate, does everything they can for our patients and takes pride in their work. The winner of this award will be a someone who champions our patients having the best possible experience and uses their initiative to help achieve this.

Unsung Hero: Our colleagues in non-patient-facing roles provide services which are essential to keeping our clinical services operating and providing high quality care. This award recognises someone who provides an excellent service, often that patients or the public won’t see. The focus is on support colleagues who work in an area behind the scenes, whether it’s in administration, services, estates or laboratory.

Rising Star: This award is aimed at apprentices, students and individuals who are new to a role, or someone with ambition to try something new. This award will recognise someone who is dedicated to learning, be it through traditional educational courses or other learning through developing new skills.

Medical/Clinical Team of the Year: The medical and clinical team of the year will be a high performing team (or a team on an improvement journey) who work well together as a team to deliver high quality care to our patients.

Administrative Team of the Year: This is a team award which will recognise excellence from a team which does not directly provide patient care but provides and administrative service to support our colleagues and patient services.

Supporting Team of the Year: This team award will be presented to a team who work all over our Trust sites providing support to our clinical teams. It will recognise excellence from teams who provide technical support, patient facing services which are not clinical, and maintenance support.
