Record-breaking nominations for colleagues at local hospitals

As part of the organisation’s annual award ceremony, 801 health professionals at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals have been nominated to be honoured later in the year.

Each and every year, the Trust recognises a number of colleagues for their hard work and dedication. Breaking the previous record of 500, judges are now undertaking the tricky exercise of whittling down nominees to shortlist of around 50.

The Star Awards, an integral facet of the Trust’s internal recognition scheme, and recognises the exceptional dedication and skill exhibited by the hospital’s personnel.

Nominations have poured in from an array of sources, including patients, their families, colleagues, and the extended community. These nominations stand as a testament to the profound impact health professionals at Bassetlaw Hospital, Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu Hospital have on the lives of the communities they serve.

The Trust will officially unveil the shortlist in the coming days.

Winners will be announced on 2 November 2, as the hospital prepares to host a glittering awards ceremony at the Doncaster Dome. This gala event will be a platform for recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of both individuals and teams who have consistently upheld the core principles and ethos of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals and the NHS.
