The Trust that runs Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals is holding two open events in January for anyone interested in becoming a Service Assistant.
The open events will give people the opportunity to find out more about the posts that the Trust is looking to fill and what the application process involves.
The events are being held on Tuesday 17 January from 9.00am to 1.00pm and also on Tuesday 24 January between 12noon to 5.00pm in Room 4 in D Block located at the Gate 1A entrance at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
Kirsty Edmondson-Jones, Director of Estates and Facilities at the Trust, said: “We decided to organise these events because we believe it is important to support those interested in applying to become a service assistant, particularly if they have any questions about the role or the application process.”
During the two drop in sessions potential candidates will be able to meet the Trust’s Service Department team and talk about the role, pick up information about what to expect and the selection process.
Service Assistants within the Trust are vital in ensuring the continuing high standards of cleanliness in the hospital and carry out crucial cleaning, portering, ward catering and housekeeping duties.
Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
People interested in attending these events should email recruitment@dbh.nhs.uk.
